Is itt-tech.edu Safe?

ITT Tech is awesome. Sure, they are a bit pricey, but they have the highest rate of post-grad employment out of all accelerated college programs(Los Angeles area). In other words, you get what you pay for. The site itself is fine. If you think ITT is to blame for any malware and ads, you should do a little studying on the subject before jumping to any conclusions. I wouldn't blame ITT Tech for any ads displayed by Google, or any malware sites attempting to trick you into thinking they are affiliated with ITT Tech. This is a safe and useful site.

From the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: ITT Educational Services Inc. projected a default rate of 64 percent on the loans it provided, some of which had interest rates as high as 16 percent; charging up to $44,000 for an ASSOCIATES degree. Please note that none of these classes fit collegiate accreditation, and will not transfer unless you complete "degree." I'm not a fan of community colleges, but go to one of those.

I disagree with the Below statement first of all no one is perfect especially a large industry like strayer. Also it is kind of rude to put a university such strayer in a category such as the below person listed, were talking about one campus among many if we are to criticize a company due to one branch the US would have no companies at all. on another note the security at the campuses could in fact use more security especially in the it department other than that Strayer University Compared to technical schools By far has a better Education and Degree Program. Also i don't know were you get your information but strayer is extremely flexible when choosing classes you can log in and do them yourself or you can have a on site rep help you so to me you can have it both ways. Not to mention it sounds like the below person listed attended or began right at the time Strayer switched to black board which when first released had all types of bugs and believe me when i say this Black Board is not just for Itt Florida has every collage and tech school using Black Board now

I went to school at ITT, aside from my financial aid screwing me over (poor credit, poor family), they were a great school. It's a .edu domain as well, those are regulated and must be owned by accredited educational institutions. Nothing wrong with this domain.

I attend ITT Tech. If you say that they took out financial aid and you didn't know about it, perhaps you should have paid attention in the financial aid interview. For those who claim malware redirected them here, it's because the malware clicks an ad on the malware-owner's site, which then redirects to ITT, thus earning the malware-owner a click and money to their AdSense account. Duh.

I'm taking three classes there between my Bachelor's and master's degree. The information is old and inaccurate. The financial aid people misrepresented the total cost of the quarter--it' was suppose to be 1784, which I paid in cash, and then I found out they took over 5000 in financial aid to cover the rest. Despite being a technology school, the tech support doesn't know how to solve problems, there is no tuition calculator and it's nearly impossible to contact anyone. The staff are nice enough, but the learning is really what you make of it. The website only works with IE and tries to copy your clipboard. They use a program called "Testout" that is full of bugs and I spent hours and hours with tech support trying to figure out why. The quizzes and tests are extremely easy and they seem to prey on those who can't get into other schools. I was forced to take "introduction to computers, however, my full plan skipped over ever single class that would be valid in the field. If you would like to see a copy of the schedule they gave me, feel free to message. You do not register for your own classes and the textbooks are out of date, considering they cover current technology. My "internet" book is from 2002 and is already outdated. Moreover, the lessons are prefabricated and indicate that the instructors may not be current. For example, one assignment asked us to describe CA*net3--It was replaced by CA*net 4 some time ago, and yet the school doesn't seem to know this. The grades are so easy that it's doubtful that work is reviewed in detail.
