This site is good only if you want to have a sex chat and you don't care if the woman is paid to do this or not. But if you want to date someone, I'd use
- it's more suitable for searching for relationship (although there are plenty of naughty girls there as well, which they show in their "mood" section). I had gone through many dating sites before I actually met 2 great women in Odessa, who are really interested in me, I met both of them on the site I mentioned.
If you use Match.com, make sure you don't get emotionally involved with the girl, cuz probably she " likes" you because she's paid for this.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC): "We believe that Match.com conned people into paying for subscriptions via messages the company knew were from scammers". And 'as many as 25% to 30% of Match.com members who register each day are using it to perpetrate phishing schemes and extortion scams.' See https://www.reuters.com/article/us-match-ftc/tinder-owner-sued-for-using-fake-profiles-in-ads-on-match-com-idUSKBN1WA22J
Well, they silently changed my subscription cost from 30$ to $80 and continue to charge even after I deactivated my account. Refuse to refund money or even send receipts for transactions.
Their customer support is outsourced and completely useless, can't even get information what company processing payment for them.
Be careful guys!
The moment my profile isn't being viewed by legit members, a fake pops up--a porn bot offering email contact info--and too often the same email is used by a variety of fakes--it is an endless stream of fraudulent memberships
The matching system they use is worthless--How can a match be rated at 80% or better when key differences abound--re: I want no children but am matched at 80% or better with women who have children living at home--that in itself is a deal-breaker and amounts to a huge ZERO %
Customer service denied the use of porn-bots, fake and fraudulent profiles, as if I'm going to listen to meaningless lip service
I cannot remove undesirable profiles from m\the match lists, though I've tried endlessly for three weeks to do so--they are up the very next time I log on. I was told everyone is ahving that problem--and I said back that itis YOUR site that has a problem--you are simply making it difficult for everyone else using the site
Overall, match dot com is about the most dysfunctional of dating sites I can think of, and is surely NOT WORTH MY TIME AND MONEY
After you pay a pass, you get automatically subscribed for life for renewal without being warned about it, till you explicitly request not to do so. So most people will continue paying without noticing it.
Moreover the site uses all kind of strategies for mining your money. At first it allows you to create an account which takes long to complete, for lately noticing you won't be able to contact anyone except if you pay.
And after paying a pass, only then is when the site lets you know you won't be able to do certain things except if you pay further. These things are to filter users, and to manage your status.
I also suspect that some users are bots, as they have a clear patron of behaviour. For example, if I request them to upload a photo they will keep sending me blinks ad infinitum.
These fucking idiots do not confirm an email address before sending mail to that email address. So I was receiving lots of email not intended for me. So I give them a bad review on WOT. Incompetent morons.
I signed up a couple days ago but I really should have done my homework first. I have been trying to get my money back every since and am being stonewalled.
Within the first 24 hours of being on the site, I received over 50 emails until I shut off the email notifications. This more than qualifies for spam in its own right. However, 95% of the contacts I have received through the site are either outright scams with names that include a phone number to text them, people who are hundreds of miles away who do not match with me at all or I with them according to our interests, or accounts that say they like me and are then apparently hidden and gone.
Add to this, the reason I am being told I cannot receive a refund for my foolishly purchased six month subscription. I was told because I sent a single message through their system, that I cannot receive my money back after 24 hours. This is rubbish. Not just on general principle, but because of the way this site operates. That message may never ever get read. You must pay to view your messages and so they try to get more subscriptions at the expense of their customers.
