On ***** I was doing research on collecting judgements and purchasing judgements and I came across the website "www.nationaljudgement.net". The website is very lucrative, and the benefits of purchasing a lifetime membership were great. When going to subscribe, their page stated that after paying you would get "immediate access" to the members area. Specifically "Pay your membership fee online and receive immediate access to the members' area of the NJN website. Simply enter the email address to which your access instructions should be delivered and click the PayPal image beneath. Upon completion of your financial transaction access instructions will be immediately emailed to the address entered below." I waited several hours after purchasing and never heard anything. I sent them an email and asked about getting access and I never got it. The next day, I opened a PayPal claim. Later that day (over 24 hours later) I got an email reply to the email sent the day before stating that the reason I never got the membership details was due to the fact that I opened a PayPal claim. I asked them how this was possible and they stated that they only got the information from PayPal earlier in the day, which isn't possible. They further sent an email later asking if they could refund me from "their personal PayPal" and I agreed and gave them my PayPal email (which they should have already, right?). Over 48 hours later, I still hadn't gotten the refund, so I escalated the claim on PayPal. I received an on May 1st after escalating the PayPal case. They stopped emailing me back, they never responded to the PayPal case, and they have no other method of communication listed on their website. "Steve" began blaming me for PayPal's hold and chastising me for not knowing of any issues with his PayPal account, expecting that I "fully investigate". He further then threatens me with litigation for posting reviews about my experience. What a terrible way to run a company, especially when you're speaking to a customer who filed a claim after not hearing from you, and then you disappear while talking to the customer in the middle of the claim. I was sent emails with language such as "You're a common thief, probably a Trump supporter", "go away until summoned", "stop. Go away until your presence is commanded". I will ad that "Steve" ended up sending me the money from a different PayPal account instead of operating the dispute through the claim. PayPal closed their claim and also issued a refund. I contacted PayPal about this and did not receive a response (likely due to COVID-19). "Steve" sent me an email threatening to "have me arrested" if I did not immediately send him money to a PayPal account. I advised him (especially considering his tone and threat) that this needed to be handled through PayPal and that the case showed, when I logged in on 5/18/20, that it was waiting for a response from the seller. I sent him a photo of the case and his simple response was "as you wish".

My comment on viruses concerned an article on Windows 8 containing built-in anti-virus software. It had nothing to do with websites. My attitude is the opposite of lax because I refuse to run Windows. I run Linux on my PC so viruses are of little concern. My question to Microsoft isn't, what took so long to incorporate an anti-virus program. It's why does your system make an anti-virus program necessary?
