Is redbox.com Safe?

Redbox customers cannot cancel a disc reserved online: "Sorry, but there's no way to cancel an online reservation once it's been made." ***** Redbox customers cannot delete their Redbox account from the Redbox website: "Deleting a Redbox account can be achieved through contacting the company’s online help center or by contacting customer service..." ***** There is absolutely no technological reason why these two activities could not be achieved online.

Obviously many many movies are not for children, but that is part of offering a large variety of movies, which is just about mandatory. I like the way you can pick a location and they show you what movies are available there. I would like to be able to select a list of favorites and have them show me which of my saved favorites are available in any of them, it is still a great feature. The mobile was a little difficult to use at first, but once I got through it, it was very fast and easy.

Site allows online reservation of DVD rentals from Redbox kiosks. The process works very well. I've used the site many times and have never had a problem. The only issues I've encountered have been with the kiosks themselves, which are not relevant in a web site review. SSL encryption is 128 bit, could be stronger, but even most banks aren't using 256 bit certs yet, so not a bit deal. Occasional nuisance emails keep me from giving it a top rating for privacy. Child safety of the site is fine. Movie rentals include R-rated titles, but there is no R-rated content on the site itself. Even if a child were to reserve a rental online, they would still have to swipe the actual card at the kiosk to get the movie, so there's no real risk of kids renting inappropriate movies.
