1) Misleading Claims or Unethical: Claims users privacy is protected, whilst using Google Analytics. FORCES the use of Google Analytics just in order to provide a basic site function. Most sites aren't that poorly designed. Claims IP address harvesting and cross-referencing (implied) is 'anonymous'. Collecting number plate information from cars, isn't anonymous either, it is only ONE step away from identifying and tracking that individual by ID. 2) Privacy Risks (also see above). Site DEMANDS date of birth information, when as before, most sites don't. Why? This is almost the 'holy grail' of personally-identifiable data, to narrow-down a set of data or fragments of various online personae to a real person registered with the state, etc. 3) Site allowed embedding in a site that didn't show the SSL / HTTPS padlock. It appeared to be unsecured. FAIL of design on both sites' behalf (the containing site is a temporary page on a little-updated site, so has more excuse for design cheapness - Ticketscript are a PAYMENT PROCESSOR, no excuses). 4) Poor customer experience due to now having wasted half an hour on this without being able to buy an acceptably-private ticket. FAIL of a site. This is because instead of charging their customers, they sell information from their customers' customers on, to make money. -I suggest frankly to not sell user marketing data as such an ingrained part of your business model if you wish to succeed, Ticketscript. " - So, Ticketscript DO share your personally-identifiable data with "advertising companies and analytics providers", but it's somehow "anonymous"? How is anonymity protected from abuse this way? It is all on trust (and Google are happy to abuse that, lots of precedent for this).
