Snopes is an incredibly biased politically-motivated left-wing site that almost always favors leftist points of view. Snopes will manipulate facts to twist them so they can label them partially, mostly or outright "false" if it's a claim that hurts leftists. For right-leaning claims, if it helps leftists to push their agenda they will support almost any untrue things being claimed which make right-leaning people look bad. The site should not be even remotely trusted for fact checking.

This is one of the original fact checking sites used to debunk urban legends and has steadily become one of the leading fact-checking sites used against the current trend in political disinformation. This site is an excellent source of information.

From dailycaller.com Fact-Checking Snopes: Website’s Political ‘Fact-Checker’ Is Just A Failed Liberal Blogger Popular myth-busting website Snopes originally gained recognition for being the go-to site for disproving outlandish urban legends -such as the presence of UFOs in Haiti or the existence of human-animal hybrids in the Amazon jungle. Recently, however, the site has tried to pose as a political fact-checker. But Snopes’ “fact-checking” looks more like playing defense for prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton and it’s political “fact-checker” describes herself as a liberal and has called Republicans “regressive” and afraid of “female agency.” Snopes’ main political fact-checker is a writer named Kim Lacapria. Before writing for Snopes, Lacapria wrote for Inquisitr, a blog that — oddly enough — is known for publishing fake quotes and even downright hoaxesas much as anything else.

One of the most objective and unbiased websites to refer to. People who criticize it do so just because they don't like their biased ideas to be falsified by documented facts. The world doesn't change depending on our ideas. Only facts count in the end.

Anything that would expose the truth of America would be ruled in favor of it rather than against it. Show me one article where America's hypocrisy is exposed.

Despite being a fact checking website, sources used are occasionally opinion-based in nature. That being said, an article that seems biased may be written using legitimate statistics- unfortunately, some WOT users disregard facts that oppose their viewpoints. As with anything you read on the internet, use critical thinking skills and double check sources. Rating: good site, be cautious with children (site contains NSFW content), and don't blindly trust headlines without double checking.

Repeatedly caught slanting the facts - or outright lying - spewing left-wing/socialist/commie values. Used to be a good site. Not anymore. Don't believe anything they say. Nothing but Soros/left-wing propaganda.

At one time I blindly trusted Snopes as a reliable fact-checking tool. However, began to become suspicious some of the findings were politically biased, and disingenuous. Upon further investigation, I found that some of the conclusions were blatantly false. This alarmed me, as I had trusted this website for some years, mainly regarding non-political subjects. This past year, I did a deep research on several of Snopes's claims and found them to be not only false, but flat-out deceptive. I wish the owners of Snopes could be held criminally liable for peddling lies, and what appears to be elaborate falsehoods that are used to support political propaganda. No matter what political party to which one belongs, this should be completely intolerable. (Disclaimer: I am a registered Democrat, and Progressive who is sick and tired of lying politicians and MSM, especially by members of my own party!!)
