It would be nice to change that.
Very amusing that there are people who confuse this site with the site of Steam itself (game distributor). Although the confusion didn't really that great. So there are a lot of people who give ratings to some random site, not the one they wanted to give ratings to. It would be nice to change that.
Official website of Steam Tunnel Operations.
Website already existed before Steam developed by Valve.
Site no longer accessible, but you can visit this website by clicking this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20000302083305/http://steam.com/
The person who owns this domain is technically in the right here. They had it long before Steam became a thing. It would be nice if they would sell it for the massive amounts of money that Valve has no doubt offered them, but they are legally able to hold onto the domain name for as long as they are willing to keep paying for it.
There is no attempts at phishing and they are clear about not being affiliated with Steam/Valve, though they don't state them by name. I'm not sure where people are getting the idea that this is a phishing site considering that there is no possible way to input any of your information.
This site is for a legitimate company and was established before SteamPowered. This site is safe and has no intentions of phishing.
People need to grow up and rate things properly.
It's never tried to be a "fake steam site", and it's been registered long before Steam even existed. All it is is a few lines of text. There's no way to type any information (password, name, etc) into the site, so no trust is needed.
