Simply because they aren't readily available, and require a long wait, and very few qualify for this help at all, even if they are in desperate (as in they have no income, are poor, disabled in anyway, and/or are homeless!) and/or emergency need!!! I only gave the site a bit of the benefit of the doubt, because it's not their fault - The government is mostly to blame for this lack of funding and the inefficient bureaucracy set in place, and the extremely long waits, and denials of service to even those most needing of it! (While they get amazingly rich and wealthy just for being employed in higher seats of government, and other corruption is going on which I will not go into, you will have to research and confirm this for yourself via multiple reliable neutral sources who are in fact investigating (scientifically or journalistically) or have statements which do not contradict AT ALL from a good reliable source, and they list these!!! Or you can do your own private investigation, if you are brave enough. (Most of TV and rumors/opinions does not count as valid research!), and come to your own conclusions.) 5-7 Year wait maximum, and that's if you qualify, and if the service is available (social programs in Section-8 help have been cut back severely, and a very minuscule amount people can actually get the help they need!). Some programs listed on the page no longer apply at all, the programs have been closed. The rest require an unknown waiting period. One program only qualifies for the Elderly only. Privacy(Security): 0/5 Child Safety: 0/5 Privacy: Is rated 0 because there is no https alternate (at all!) with a valid reliable certificate available. All of your information can be read by any third party, and all information, including any tracking code and cookies, can be used to monitor and record your usage, especially any forms you submit online! There is no guarantee of your privacy here, because security is nil. Child Safety: 0/5 As the above were mentioned, it is not safe for a child to visit this site, merely because of the privacy/security concern, and they are not a reliable source to turn to, unless the children in need looking this up are willing to wait a LONG time for help, if they even do get help at all(there is little to no funding in this overall area from the government!!!)! They should seek other better alternatives to appeal for help, even an trustworthy private attorney for emancipation, should it come down to that as a last resort, or calling 911, in case of an emergency in progress. Most children are unaware of the safety concerns and general knowledge in even seeking help for housing, so they must exercise extreme caution when seeking help. Especially while online!!! And should they seek the real life method: They should only talk to an adult they know in person very well, and trust fully (Only!) as a expert professional (as in a teacher, school counselor, principal, dean, staff, etc... For help, to consult with, and possibly get a good reference or directly intervene with the correct knowledge, wisely, and quickly on their behalf!)
