Filled with misinformation. For example, showcasing the errors in the following article: "Fluoride Officially Classified as a Neurotoxin in World’s Most Prestigious Medical Journal [The Lancet]" - http://wearechange.org/fluoride-officially-classified-neurotoxin-worlds-prestigious-medical-journal/ This headline is completely false and the whole article is also extremely misleading. The Lancet journal never made any such a statement. This was just spawned by anti-fluoridation activists from one study (which had poor methodology*) in the journal which were only addressing high levels of fluoride causing adverse neurological effects—which there is no dispute about. But that's entirely irrelevant to the current recommended levels of fluoride in drinking water. In fact it is more relevant in natural unaltered drinking water where levels are often too high in some regions.** Even the picture headline (which is fluori[t]e and not fluoride) has practically nothing to do with the subject... Always check reputable scientific sources, not articles by non-expert journalists like the guy who wrote this and who bases it off of another quack journalist which himself misrepresented the study... * Dr. Novella (clinical neurologist): "There are many weaknesses to the epidemiological studies reviewed in the recent article – high heterogeneity, poor controlling for other variables, no indication of blinding of IQ assessments, and many others. But even taken at face value they do not indicate any association between lower IQ and the fluoride levels added to drinking water in the US. In fact, those levels of fluoride were used as the controls in these studies showing higher IQ. (There was a lot of variance of the effect size, but the net effect size on IQ in the meta-analysis was -0.45 standard deviations). Therefore, if anything, this review adds to the body of evidence for the safety of fluoridation." - ** *****
