Is whitesmoke.com Safe?

So I am actually a new user of Whitesmoke and I was a bit apprehensive to get it when mywot popped up when I entered their site.. I decided to try it out for myself and so far there seems to be nothing wrong, nothing fishy. The program only runs when called upon, the firewall doesn't detect any usage when I am not using it, the anti virus (which I purposefully had scan before and after installation) did not say anything... The comments about this site are weird. The program is perfectly fine but so many bad reviews?

All you guys claiming this software is malware or spyware are absolute total retards!!!. It's server based software, It's not hidden, in fact they make this quite clear. It does use hook files (.hk) files to communicate with its multiple server system. Its quite brilliant actually. I am an IT technician at Microsoft so i would know what the fuck its I am rambling on about. For all you claiming otherwise... COME CORRECT

First of all... I have been a network engineer for over 4 years at a international hi-tech company working with several different coding languages... Anyone with any programming know-how knows that almost ALL interfaces that uses the network to communicate to international servers (as that of Whitesmoke) will always come up as Malware... That doesnt mean it is however... This is poor malware detection at its best. More common on the freeware versions of anti-malware programs. I guess you get what you pay for. Having said that. I have had no problems using whitesmoke... As I mentioned before I work for a big hi-tech company that serves clients on an international level and this software has been invaluable. It has cut my work load in half and allow us to offer assitance to a vast array of clients in perfect form... Sometimes we work 24hrs straight so spelling and grammar seem to take a nose dive after that. Customer service is outstanding... All in all.. An amazing company and software. My first Review EVER for anything and most well deserved.
