***** is a site owned by Vector Marketing, a multi-level marketing scam company. It is not a legitimate job searching site. Do not use this site to search for a job; it is a scam.

I've been approached by representatives of this company multiple times in high school and college. Even looking over the literature they give you things just don't add up. In my experience you never get a job paying $15 with no work experience. Numerous online message board entries support this: ***** and ***** This seems to be a scam.

One of the biggest scams I've come across in a while. They prey upon young men and women to sell their "quality products" and end up scamming you out of your "investment" which, according to them, is a risk worth taking.

Huge scam, almost fell for it myself, because I was desperate for work. They even suggest selling to your own family members, after a suspiciously easy hiring process, so a huge red flag right there.

A very deceptive company. Just remember, if a company is throwing itself at you to get you to work for them (especially when they know nothing about you), it's probably a scam. You see it all the time in telemarketing firms and cheap sales gigs. The real jobs (eg. hourly wage) are ones that you have to hunt for, not the jobs that hunt for you.

IT'S VECTOR!! THEY ARE A HUGE SCAM!!! First, they make you sit through a THREE OUR session about the company with a few other applicants. They trick you into thinking it's all fine and dandy and that young men and women can do something so important! But they look for complete morons that won't catch on that it's a big scam! Then, if you get the job. They make you pay for their knives to sell and if you don't sell all of the ones they gave you in a day, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM AND KEEP THE UNSOLD KNIVES!!!! These people are psycho's!!!! Stay away from them!

I got a shady looking flyer on my car in Long Beach, California that says "Student work $16 base/appt. Multiple openings, flexible work schedules, no experience necessary, customer sales and service, scholarships available for students, all ages 17+; conditions apply. www.workforstudents.com" I immediately suspected it could be a scam similar to Vector. So for the hell of it I pulled up the website, and I was obviously right on the money because it IS Vector.

Vector Marking, which sells CUTCO products, is one of the best sales jobs available. Where most companies don't want inexperienced students, Vector accepts them and teaches them excellent skills to prosper in future ventures. I learned so much, whether it was knowing how to deal with customers, communicate effectively, handle criticism and rejection or managing and hiring new representatives. The product is awesome. The people are awesome. The job is awesome. Excellent experience!

@Kencoker59 BBB ratings are based upon the satisfaction of complaints not the number of complaints.

Ok. A lot of people think this is a scam, but let me explain the details. They train you to sell cutlery, and yes, it is comission based. A high school graduate or a college student can make a lot of money doing this. I made $600 in two hours once. That's not a typical work day, but still. Sometimes you do have to buy a sample kit. Sometimes you don't. I rented mine - I gave them a check for $134 and could use the kit for as long as I wanted. If I don't give it back, they cash the check, but otherwise I get my money back. $134 for a super good set of knives that will last forever is a great deal though.

I've heard about a lot of good things about this company. The experience people get is ridiculous. And they were saying that there is no start up fee anymore. I'm gonna give it a shot!

Does not identify that it this entire company is made just so they don't have to announce that it is Cutco you will be working for, because no one wants to work for Cutco.

Scams are not around for 61 years, nor are they members of the BBB. If you are going to do "research" I'd advise you to use credible sources like the BBB and the Direct Selling Association. Vector/Cutco has the highest rating. Hopefully some of you are open minded enough to see past all of the skeptics on here. !

They advertise everywhere, send applications in the mail and it just gets ridicules. I applied there once and they try to make it seem all awesome, but it commission based. You need to sell to make money. They say it's not door to door sales, but it is.

Before everyone jumps to the conclusion that Vector Marketing is a scam site, I'd like to put out a few facts about Vector that I've personally had experience with. I've been working for Vector for a year and I'll be damned if I'm wrong about any of this. Vector Marketing is not a commission based job. The base pay rate varies but is guaranteed, WITH a commission pay. You will get paid regardless of your sales. It is true that you pay about $150 for a starter kit, but of course, it is fully refundable. Besides, why would they give away high quality products? And just so you're aware, Vector is the marketing company of Cutco. Just take a look at their website and you'll see what kind of products are being marketed. And just to wrap up, the representative job Vector offers isn't for everyone - that doesn't mean it's a scam job.

This company makes you pay 150+ for some "starter kit" and expects you to scam out your family! Don't do this!!
