I've used it several times. Their security is so tight that there were times they had me prove I was really me. Annoying at first, then you realize that it's for your protection. Cheap way to send money to family when they're overseas. The exchange rates are terrible. Lower than the bank. But they make up for it with the trust factor - you know it's gonna get there. I haven't done a price comparison with other services, but I think it's lower than others if not the same.

This website took my money when I was trying to send a friend cash he needed immediately in the Dominican Republic. I was told it would be waiting at any bank branch of a certain bank within one hour. Well, that's what they told me. This is August 9th 2011. They e-mailed my friend and told him to expect delivery of funds on August 15th!!! That is a lousy way to do business. In addition, they charged a 3.5% minimum on the conversion from dollars to pesos as well as whacking me with the fee. Overall, this company sucks. Use pay pal or Western Union. When people say it's cheap, that's baloney. It looks cheap, but they whack you on conversion rates. And, if you choose not to have your dollars converted, they charge a substantial premium because they won't be able to crush you n their conversion rate. I feel like the first sucker off the plane changing money in an airport!

I have used this service many times when sending money to the Philippines, other Asian countries and Jamaica and have had only the most positive experiences. The costs is much lower than Western Union or MoneyGram and the Customer Service Dept. much more responsive and helpful. The one caveat in my opinion is that the telephone support is now in Philippines which means that it is 24/7 but I wish they had an American based counterpart at least during American Business hours.
